Just got an email from the guys insurance adjuster stating that he approved the estimate for all of the damages, sent me payment this morning, and also approved me for a rental for 5 days. Once I get the payment I will be getting the truck fixed

That's good. It would've looked bad if a bike totalled a lifted Dodge Ram!

That's great Jon, you didn't sound too convinced the other day when I talked to ya that it wasn't going to be totalled! Did you get your 3/4 ton tow vehicle?

I got it back last wednesday. The thing is much better now. Steering is tight, no leaks from the steering box, rides much nicer now. As for the pics, this is what I have of them. This was after we pulled the bike (and the rider) out from under because we were afraid it may catch fire.
All the fluid leading up to the tire was his brake fluid

The passengers side took the hit from the front of his bike. You can see the mount to the brush guard that he somehow missed by less than two inches with his head.

You can see the blue on the control arm mount, that was also on the sway bar, the center link, the tie rods, the drag link, the steering stabilizer, and various other parts.

The wheels were straight when I parked, you can see how they ended up after it got hit.

The truck trailered the Challenger down to Ocean City no problems what so ever, and it was better than when I bought the truck. Lucas Dodge took care of the truck and had it ready within 2 days of ordering the parts, and on the third day they sent it out to a shop to get aligned because they couldnt do the alignment on mine because of the tires.

I also heard that the rider of the bike is doing fine, and is going to rebuild the bike.

Yeah I am definitely happy with it all, the guys down at the dealer did a great job. I didnt realize how bad the steering and components actually were before. Looks like it will be all ready for next spring when it gets a 440/4speed swap, another 3 inches of lift and some 37s

well at that time it wont be my daily driver, just for bad weather and for towing. It got 11 towing to ocean city and back with 160k on it. By this time next year it will be close to 200k and time for a swap. To tell ya the truth if after the swap it got 10k miles a year, that would be alot so im not gonna sweat it too bad.

I have a picture from High School of my buddy Justin in his car at the time it was a 91 Plymouth Colt, pretty much the same thing as that Metro. You know Justin, right Jake? 6'6 - 325...yeah it was quite the site to see. We finally killed that thing and he got his Blazer.

Yeah, he wouldn't have been so lucky if that was the case! The bottom bar of the brush guard sits just below the bottom of those brackets, he would have been caught between that bar and the bike.

I'm pretty sure he's got a few laying around too. He might take that 540 off your hands though

Yeah, the kid was VERY lucky. The bike had a bent frame, broken front tubes, all kinds of crap got busted up. Surprised its able to be repaired.

Melissa, I have a few 440s laying around The motor and trans in the panel truck will be used in the Ram, the bottom end from the Challenger will be going into my Panel truck when our original 440 we got, goes in...and then theres a Keith Black 440 laying around and a few others for future projects, but that 540 I would be interested in!
