Finally, some pics of the new Pro/Am-I!!!
It was missing a driver side ground effect and a front bumper ground effect. They shouldnt be too hard to find, and the driver side motor doesnt go down, and thats why they are both up. Other than that and the broken leather glove compartment, it drives and looks like a beauty!
EDIT - NVM Just Message me for pics LOL

sweet car man! I dont know if I like the hood or not though.
Too bad its an 89, cause I have a set of headlight motors for the earlier thirdgens. the later ones have 3 pin connectors and the earlier ones have two.

are you planning to mod it or keep it stock?
the LO3 can easily run into the 13's without much of an investment or losing any creature comforts.

mild cam, gears, intake, home ported tb, full exhaust, and tuning. 8)
a lot of ppl bag on tbi for not performing as good as tpi cars, look at teh cam and gears. the LB9 and L98 cams are not huge, but by comparison they are worlds better. for gears almost all LO3 autos got 2.73 gears and 5spd cars got 3.08 gears, not posi either. put the 3.23 or 3.42 posi set ups that most tpi cars came with in there and you are looking at a huge performance gain.
if you go with a stock LT1 cam and some 3.73 or 4.10 gears you will be flying.
as with any car, tuning is key. there is a ton of power to be found just in teh chip. gm was far too conservative for their own good.

-Get a LT1 cam for starters. That makes the biggest difference.
-Roller rockers, open element, remove smog and A/C
-ultimate TBI mods, maybe toss a injector pod spacer in with it.
-Manifold, edelbrock TBI or a dual plan with a tbi plate.
-Shorty's, high flow or no cats and a 3" exhaust
-3.42 or 3.73's in the rear with a carrier 3 posi
-Follow NJSped's wietght loss program
If your close but not quite there, toss in some synthetic motor and slap on a greddy sticker and you'll be there .. .

weight reduction isn't even needed to go fast. the cam and gears are what really hold the car back.

Yea, wow... I just read up on it. Makes me wonder Im working on an 86 with an LG4 LOL
I read up on a 325 HP LO3, just by adding full exhaust w/headers, Edelbrock RPM Intake, cam, and Vortec Heads. wow

I have an LT1 cam sitting around that was going to go in my car before I put the 400 in. Let me know if you are interested.

the simple version of how gentle the factory put together the LO3 is that i went from 15.9's to 15.0's on free/cheap mods and mild gears(3.54 posi).
with a simple, off the shelf, combo you can easily drop into the 13's at or near full weight. of course, dropping a few lbs never hurt any car
