Reminds me of the time my dad bought the new power steering pump for his chrysler. The pulley wouldnt go on all the way, and started tapping it with a hammer. It went on fine after that. Put it on the car, started it up and shot power steering fluid ALL over the place. he went and looked at the directions and in big red letters it says DO NOT HAMMER ON PULLEY

Sounds like me trying to remove the AIR system from the exhaust manifold... from the top. It broke and it already needed replacing.
Guess I shouldn't have used the tin snips on the tubes to get to the bolts.
