New Best 60' and ET!

R/T .045
60' 1.829
330 5.558
1/8 8.683
MPH 78.16
990 11.321
1/4 13.686
MPH 98.90

On previous runs, I was able to a get 60' of 1.823. I'm told by spectators that there was some wheelspin, so I'll be installing LCA relo brackets shortly. I also have more weight reduction planned. I am now .012 seconds away from Magnus' N/A V6 run and .032 from Seppo's. So close I can taste it. We'll see in the fall how it runs since I'll be in more favorable conditions (read mineshaft).

Along with the wheel spin...Craig damn near lifted both front tires off the ground. We are thinking that his front left did jump off, but only the camera man at atco would know for sure. Ive got a picture of one of craig's launches on my phone, and the passenger side is definitely unloaded. I've also got partial video, again on my phone, of his 13.68 run. He was gone.

Craig, I've got video of your runs, all be it inadvertantly. You ran my buddy in his 95 Z28 something like 3 times in a row. I was rolling watching you leave him on the line. Nice runs out there man!

It's not the best video, came from an 8.0mP Nikon Coolpix digital camera, but it's pretty freaking good for what it is.

Steve, you parked two spots over from my Lincoln outside the gate yesterday. I just never managed to see you anywhere.

I'll do that, but they're LARGE files. I'm going to try to make them a .WMV and make the file size smaller first. They're in a .mov format and about 18 Megs each right now.

Doesn't bother me any - we have 20GB of storage, so only the dial up people will be upset by it.

Yeah, but it would bother Comcast. You can only send 10Mb per email. I'll resize it tonight and send it to ya.

Vid sent. I only had one good one of Craig running, and I didn't get his entire launch. The other vid of him that I had missed the last 2 seconds of the run.

Craig, do I get no thanks for the inspiration I provided? Jeez man... for those who don't know, I raced Craig on his new best time pass. And for the record it was a damn good race.

that was a solid run for you as well...i called your Dad's shop today too.

just like you had said...with those r/ts you guys both pulled you should be bracket racing...i guess you both knew you had some competition.

<-- runs over to his folder full of his old time slips and checks violently to make certain Craig hasn't beatin his best... oh the shame if he does

Awesome work now give it a rest and work on the weight reduction and exhaust . I pity your drivetrain. BTW, Carbonfiber driveshaft and aluminum flywheel = more horsepower = faster mph but might hurt your launch. It's a catch 22 but I believe there is an 80% chance that the reduced inertia for the launch will be offset by the extra 330' and beyond horsepower that'll be freed up. You're sure to beat those records.

how much lighter is the CF DS over the aluminum he has now though? And dont they start at like $700? cost vs. benefit eh...would be a good experiment but not one that would cost over a grand in the end imo.

They are about 700, and they weigh 6.5-7lbs. The aluminum one weighs 11lbs. I've seen them for sale on CZ28.com for $350 or $400 before.
