				Crash at Atco last night

Just wondering if anybody heard if the driver was alright after that bad crash last night. It was a red Nova with an 8.20 or 8.30 dial. He was about to cross the traps when he started losing a lot of oil and it got under the tires and he lost traction and swerved across the lanes and when he tried to correct the car came across and went head on into the wall then flipped and rolled 4 or 5 times. They got him out pretty quick so hopefully he's ok.

Haven't heard anything, but wow....looks like he hit HARD:http://www.davemilcarek.com/062505/index_26.htm
Hopefully he will be ok, but it looks like it's gonna take a while to get the car back together.

Looks like a nasty wreck. The roll bar looks like it held so hopefully all is ok. People complain about tech inspection all the time, its there for a reason.

Looks like they had to cut him out, hope he is alright. That's why you always need safety equipment.

Well, the drivers name is John Griffin. He fractured his spine durring the crash and needs the help of a resperator to breath right now. He was scheduled to go into surgery today so put him in your prayers. Here's a link to a discusssion about it.http://forums.godragracing.com/viewtopic.php?t=25676

Are you sure these are the same two accidents they're talking about? On GDR it says the accident happened 'last week,' and he 'aggrivated it yesterday' posted on Sunday the 26th. Your post is talking about an accident that happened on Saturday the 25th. I saw the same thread on GDR a few days ago but wasnt sure they were one and the same. Regardless, John Griffin is in my prayers, and if they are two separate accidents, so is the other guy.

The accident in the link happened earlier on a private run.

Oh, I thought by "aggervating" it, he made the injury worse by doing something else other than racing. I misunderstood. Anyway, god bless him.
