Mod's for next season?
So.... this year is almost up.
What will you be doing in prep for next year?
Me:
Free mod - Heater core gone
Free mod - Ducting for A/C/ heater core gone
Cheap mod - Look into LS1 caliper's for the front (I found out that my v6 one's are DAMN heavy vs LS1's... they are aluminum I think... I'll look around at junk yards for them)
Costly mod - Possibly buy front runner tires (7 lbs per side gone of rotating mass)
Free mod - clean up engine bay of non esential items (wiring etc)
Free/ cheap mod - reupholster door panels (dunno if sheet aluminum may be done or just cloth)
Free mod - door bars gone
Costly mod - ditch boxed hotchkis trailing arms for adj chrome moly tubular trailing arms (weight tredux)
Since I got the house not too long ago.... money is a big factor with mods now..... basically... free mods make me happy
And you?

i dunno, havent decided yet.
i might go for straight line speed...or i might do the smarter thing and just upgrade handling/looks til i get a car without 135k miles on it.
if i decide to go fast...i cant tell you what im gonna do
if i decide to go handling/looks, i'll probably get the GMPP springs for like $150 (i think), and the GM w-body handling package which includes front and rear sway bars, front strut tower bar, and tubular rear trailing arms all for $152. for the looks, it would probably be the SD rear spoiler, and maybe some new wheels.

for real though, I would like to get rear tires, paint the undercarriage, get SFC's, LCA's, panhard rod, and front end rebuild kit. I'd also like to take out my condensor for the a/c and fix some rust in the engine bay. Also, different headers..I can't stand the leaks from mine.

I'd like to get a paint job but I'll never be able to afford it.. I'd also like to get rid of my crappy single 3" exhaust in favor of duals... but once again cant ever afford anything

It took me 3 years to build my car using almost entirely used parts ...and that was all while i was living at home... now living on my own while having a mediocre job doesn't leave much money for the ol' slowmaro. If it majorly broke (engine, trans, or rear) it'd sit in my yard for years.
