Camaro and Firebird Heirarchy
i was browsing around FTV6 for ws6 hoods and came up this topic that was talkin about the heirarchy of Camaros and Firebirds, i thought it was interesting. lets see if you guys agree...

Camaro, Camaro RS, Camaro w/ Y87, Camaro RS w/ Y87, Camaro Z28, Camaro SS.

Firebird, Firebird w/ W68, Firebird w/ Y87, Firebird w/ W68 & Y87, Firebird GT, Firebird Formula, Trans AM, Formula WS6, Trans AM WS6, Firehawk.

i didnt know that you could get the w68 with the y87?

Y87 is a performance package and W68 is an appearance package. i wanna find out how easy/hard it would be to make my car into a gt cuz i think i actually have both the y87 and the w68

technically theres only 4 models offered for each ('maro,RS,Z28,SS and 'bird, formula,TA and hawk), the other crap is "add-on packages"

it seems there's VERY little difference between an 01 firebird with w68&y87 and an 01 firebird gt:
1LE front stabilizer bar (32mm) with harder mounting bushings, link kit, and track bar (with harder bushings).
paint stripes
Ornamentation Package (Includes four Firebird GT decals and one dash plaque.)
GT floor mats

i could easily turn my car into a GT look/preform-alike

for anyone interrested ALL of the firebird models ever made whether it be factory or after market, pretty good read if you have the time. look here

yea floor mats are useless... i prolly should take them out, along with everything else in my car. i could prolly hit your times after we come back from winter break 2001 firebird Y87 > 97 camaro
