ford to cut jobs/close plants

As of now Ford plans to close 14 plants by 2012, and they will also cut 30k white and blue collar jobs. They say ford is making money worldwide but just not in the US. They also say they are stuck with hundreds of thousands of cars they cant sell a year while they cant meet demands for the stang. interesting news.. if the camaro and challenger hit the market, i wonder how that will affect Ford then.

It's friggin' sad. My wife and I own a 1998 Ford Ranger that was built at the Edison plant, and it just rolled over 80 thousand TROUBLE FREE miles. Still has the orig battery!

Maybe ford is competing with GM .... Gm cuts jobs, then Ford cuts jobs!
