i thought all the late 80 early 90 gt's got the grilled tailights. And only the LX's got the tailights like you have.

you are correct, those are LX tail lights. a lot of people swap over to them because the GT tails look awful!

I was kinda hoping he had GT tail lights, so I could try to sell him my LX tail lights

I'm about 5'9 and had a 3'' cowl hood. You get used to it very quickly; its not bad at all. I dig the paint job, who did it? And the newer GT emblem does look nice.
