I have an idea, what do you think?
I need you guys input for this idea of mine...
I was thinking of buying a kinda beat up GTA to convert into a replica K.A.R.R. I want one that needs some body work, because I would want a different front end, and paint it 2-tone, so buying one thats in great shape would be pointless. Since the GTA has the digital dash, that would make turing the interior even easier to look like KARR.
What do you guys think? Waste of time or kick ass idea?

I think no matter what base car you pick, the wiring necessary to have a working, replica digital dash will preclude any benefits you gain from a GTA digital dash.
Having said that, the later third gens would be best for the options, comfort, looks and ECM. Unless I'm mistaken, 88 Trans Am's could also have a digital dash, not just GTA's. Could be wrong though.
Lastly, the time, money and energy needed to create a replica, creates a challenge for only the stalwart fan to tackle. Fixing the base car first, THEN tackling all the interior and exterior changes makes for a multi-year project. It can be tough to keep that internal drive going year after year.
Buy the car that has as few flaws / problems as possible. Swap out the cosmetic and electronic stuff you need, and eBay whatever is left. Just my opinion.

Well I don't plan to go all out, but enough so that someone can look at it and know what it was. It's been a dream of mine, and one time failure aready on a 4th gen. I agree the 3rd gen would be the better option. The reason why I wanted the GTA for the digital dash, was that I could get some small things to add to make it look kinda like the dash of KARR. More or less, I'd try for the outside appearance. This is an idea I've been throwing around, considering I still have many peices left from the 4th gen that were Knight Rider related. Ahhhh, a girl can dream! We'll see how it goes

I don't care what everyone else thought of Redraif's car. I still think it was creative even if way over the top. At least she didn't pick purple and pink.

Creative is hardly the word I would use to describe a car with 3 rear spoilers. Two stacked on the rear deck, and one under the bumper. Ugh....

EDIT: I forgot about the spoilers. I just liked the creativity of her interior.
