Spec 3+ or LS7 clutch/flywheel ?
well, its been around 12000 miles and my spec stage 3 is starting to slip...
I must say up until the 12,000 mile mark, it was really good to me. I went to the track a buncha times, and street raced alotta people and it never missed a beat. then one day it started slippin on me a lil. I also have the spec billet flywheel. roughly 20K miles on it.
Has anyone here bought or heard anything good about the LS7 clutch/flywheel kits? like whats the HP rating? im definately looking to spray 100 wet shot. and then possibly do the STS thing next year sometime. w/o the 100shot.
ANd im also thinking of getting a transblanket or safety bellhousing to go along with it. is a transblanket cheaper than a safety bellhousing?
thanks!

i dont know about that other **** but if i were you i would look into a Ram or a Excedy. The Ram being the more sure thing. Excedys i hear are good street clutches for high HP cars. I would do Ram if i were you

The trans blankets that I have seen (and the RCI that I've installed) are to prevent an auto trans from exploding onto the track if you blow it up. They are not for retaining a clutch explosion. Take a look at McLeod's bellhousings and clutches, they are top notch.

top notch and will take a few notches out of my wallet too, but i guess thats better than taking a few notches out of my foot if it exploded!
