Yeah, they did it on the Z06 and the GTO too.
Basically it guarantees you to be one of the first to have one. People with way too much $$$ jump on those deals to boost their ego.

Yup. You pay your 20 large, and that's OVER whatever the sticker price of the car is (I don't care what GM says, my guess is 30K+ for the new Camaro). Just to be able to say you bought one of the first ones on the road, yippee. I love the new Camaro, but I wouldn't spend that kinda coin. Wait a few months for the hype to pass, and buy one at a deal.

Guys they did that with the new Mustangs, and then again with the convertable. I thought Ford slapped some of the dealers for doing it?

I USED TO HAVE an 85 Camaro 305 4bbl, 90 Firebird V6, 97 Firebird V6 (10 speakers!). Despite the two family vehicles, 3 kids, wife and mortgage, I can finally realize the dream - 88 TA almost all stock... for now.

true, indeed. if it was the first camaro off the assembly line, now that might be worth some extra cake. but just the first one they happen to sell? they don't need masks and guns anymore, they just ask people for their money (and the stupid ****s give it up...)

i dunno about you guys but i think that new maro is gonna friggin sick wit it man.............. i gaurentee by the time production on these cars begin they will look alot more refined and less space-agey, cant wait... i'd even take a 6 banger... anyone know the prices and driveline options?
