Caltracs and Calvert Racing Leafs???

i am looking for some more grip and everyone has been recomending the calvert racing suspension stuff. i know i will get the caltracs this winter, but i was wondering about springs. has anyone here used the calvert racing composit mono leafs before?
they say they will provide about a 1inch drop and improve traction. i really don't see any wedge built into them though, so i was also wondering about setting pinion angle properly.

any tips?

Feather-light suspension, Konis just couldn't hold. I'm so glad I took a look inside your showroom doors.

Tim one of the best places to get some information about this stuff would be to ask some of the stock and super stock racers. Here is a link to one of the boards where a lot of knowledgable guys hang out: http://www.classracer.com/cgi-bin/netboard/netboard.cgi
Good advice on that board for guys with stock style suspension. Make sure you get good shocks to go with the calvert setup and you will be more than happy. I have seen some leaf spring truck going real real fast with a leaf spring and cal trac setup on 10 inch slicks. So it is easily possible to do.

the calvert split leafs work great you can add shims to adjust pinion angle but they are usually not needed..

depends on your driving habits. if you beat the car on the street that wat you do at the strip then they will sag prematurely but if you cruise on the street and save the go pedal for the track you can get some life out of them. Just stiffen the shocks up when on the street

i usually drive pretty slow on the streets, so i doubt that would be a problem. i was thinking more along hte lines of what the potholed streets of eastern, pa and new jersey would do to them. i don't own a truck or trailer so i will be driving to the tracks and meets.
think that would be a problem?

nah you will love the split leafs and there is nothing to say about caltracs except that they work plain and simple.
