Computer Question

I just bought a new laptop and it came with Vista but i'd rather have XP
i want to take it off the computer to save memory but save it to a cd/dvd

i have a backup program but would that include the OS?

The backup disk would prolly include Vista, but there is no way to take an installed OS and put it on a CD for future use.

sure there is... save2cd in slackware =D

Correction......there is no way to take a modern Windows OS installation and burn it to a CD/DVD.

if you know how and if its going back onto the same machine, you can always use Ghost =]
