The sounds of F1

The sound of a well tuned high revving F1 engine blows away the sound of a lopy V8 IMO. Enjoy some sounds!

now that i have a good video camera i will have to try to collect some more of my favorite engine sounds.
F1 cars sound 10 times as amazing in person as they ever can on a computer. any engine can sound good all wound up, but 2.4liters at 19k rpm is jsut a wild noise that i can't even describe. you can ask jsutin what it sounds like through a cell phone, i called him and let him listen as the field went by for a restart at the USGP one year. lol
another favorite is the sound of a ferrari downshifting off the banking during the 24hour race at daytona. it is sick, such a tight sound, and flasshes of flame out the exhaust every time a gear is dropped.
i woudl offer to let everyone hear the sounds of the diesel powered audi prototypes, but there really isn't much to hear. just a sort of whoosh as they go flying past at 180+mph. lol

id rather stand at the entrance to turn 4 during the Daytona 500. not to mention phoenix or vegas. nothing like a field pushing 35,000 all american horsepower blowing past you at 200+ mph.

Those sounds sent chills down my spine. Im right now at Laguna Seca for the Rolex Vintage Festival, and everything byut high pitched F1 cars are here, including IMSA Porsches and Can Am cars. Theres one particular McLaren here that is so friggin loud. Toyota brought an F1 car here last year and broke the tracks record by 3 seconds!!!
