T56 Shifter Options

What do you have? What ones have you tried? Opinions or comparisons of the differences?

Had the Hurst and switched to the B+M Ripper years ago, so I have the old sytle with adjustable stops. But I thikn the B+M has a sharper feel then the hurst. I run the T-handle and I like the heigth as is. Allot of people like the Lou's stick, I never tried it so can't comment on it.

I'm a fan of the Pro-5.0. It has a very firm feel to it that some may think is a bit notchy but the thing goes whenever & wherever you tell it to go. I think it lets you feel like you are in control. I also have a lous short stick which puts the shifter at a reasonable height below the radio but not fully engulfed by the center console.

ive had the stock one, a pro 5.0 and a stock hurst i believe it was.

loved the stock hurst or whatever it was. had a lil play but shifts were faily close and pretty smooth

stock, not bad, but it killed my shift forks, 1-2 and 3-4, and the throws were kinda long

pro 5.0, kinda notchy but never killed any trans parts and never ever went into a lower gear when i was upshifting

going with a B&M ripper now

I forget what kind of shifter jake has, but I like it a lot. the stock shifter sucks compared to a decent aftermarket one.

Had the stock hurst, it was EH. Had teh B&M Ripper and liked it, but the Pro 5.0 is a beautifully built piece and is next to impossible to mis-shift. Also is virtually indestructable.

My Vote, Pro 5.0

How can you break a shifter? It is over shifting (i.e. too hard) that breaks somthing in the trans?
