Hotchkis rear sway bar for 1st Gen

AFAIK, this is the only brand that requires you to drill holes in the rear floor pan in order to install it.

anyone know why ? what does it do for you, that the other sway bars don't (i.e. the ones that bolt in different locations) ?

my worry is that, under hard-driving, the bar would yank out a piece of the floor where it's mounted...

It is the same in the 2nd gen. If that tears out you have much bigger issues to deal with. It is probably more secure like that then the stock ones in the 2nd gens. I've seen those mounts tear out too.

Why? There is theory on arm length, link length, link style. I could not answer that. Try calling hotchkiss and ask them.
