Y-pipe

I just put long tube headers in the T/A this past week end, and even with 2.5in dump its ungodly loud. I need to fashion some sort of Y off the 2ft pipes i have to hook up to the exhaust thats there to quite it up a bit.

Bubba,

What exactly are you asking? Are you just running straight pipes off of the headers? If so I suggest you get a pair of mufflers (or race bullets if you don't want to lose the power) and route the pipes out the back of the car as normal. Add an H pipe if $ allows.

If you are dumping it underneath the passenger compartment it will be very loud. Even louder when you throw more speed parts at the motor.

Summit has a build your own Y-pipe/Exhaust kit, maybe go that route, and dump it out the passenger side before the rear tire using a single muffler. It'll cut down on sound and weight a whole lot less.
