Loud Exhaust Harassment

Just thought I'd share this.

I know there are guys on here that get harassed for their SLP Loudmouths even though all they did was bolt it up.

This is the TSB from 1969 about the chambered exhaust systems (aka the exhaust system GMMG installed/installs now)

The more things change, the more they stay the same I guess.

Heh, I'm gonna be loved when I redo my exhaust w/ straight, side exiting pipes. Mark Donohue didn't need any stinkin' mufflers, so neither does ubg!

The GMMG isn't even close to being as loud and obnoxious as the original 69 chambered exhaust. The Loudmouth is much worse than the GMMG. But it's still a valid point. Fart pipe exhausts are even more annoying than chambered exhaust. So get something like the Random Tech cat-back I have that is nice and mellow under most conditions, but it's a straight through muffler with minimal perforations and opens up big time at WOT. Just ask Kasey how "quiet" my longtube, dual cat, cat-back was on the dyno!

never had a problem with exhaust noise. then again, i don't open her up when cops are around, so they would have a hard time hearing me. i used to feather the throttle, now i just throw it in neutral so it goes back down to idle (very quiet), when passing a cop.

the borla does an awesome job of keeping the decibels down at low rpms, even without the block off plates in. she gets loud when i open her up though.

Borla is one of the OG Mack Daddies of cool F bod exhausts. I had one on my 94 T/A, and it did sound beautiful.
