New job!

I've been meaning to post this but I got a job at the North Jersey Federal Credit Union. No more bodyshop or any manual labor jobs for me anymore...unless personal or side jobs lol. I'm graduating this December with my BS in Accounting so right now I'm learning the ropes of their accounting department as well as training to fill in as teller when needed in all of their branches. There also has been talk of offering me a full time position come graduation...but nothing definite yet.

Don't let them train you as a teller, keep your standards high!

that is all...

Thanks everyone! I really wanted nothing to do with the teller department but it was the only way I could get in as a paid PT employee and then move solely to Acct. while still getting paid...basically it is a way to beat the games with internships and how many PT employees in a single department etc. etc. Plus I've met with the CFO and other executives in the company numerous times and they are the ones who did this for me so I could at least establish myself and then move around. A plus side is the teller department here is much more involved than commercial banks as far as following different procedure and basically having to "sell products" in addition to making transactions.

Congrats on the new opportunity. Give it what you got. Internships are very important as you know but stay motivated so you don't hit a brick wall. My experience as an intern in engineering school has helped me into my second job so make sure to get everything you can out of the position.
