Down to 2 Camaros now
the L78 has been sold and is on it's way to Texas! Time to look for a replacement.

How about a 69 JL8 car? That would be a good replacement.

That was the plan, sell the 70 and use the money to finish the 69. I'll probably look for something as a side project in another early 2nd gen.

The keg is empty, that's another problem that might be solved too.

From Canada, to here, to Texas. A little further south and it can be a tri-lingual car!

Well, I never put any real effort into selling it because I enjoyed driving it so much. I got my bottom line. I think a lot of people still don't know what these cars are worth and the economic collapse hurt even more. He seems really happy with the car and he plans on rebuilding the motor back to stock L78 specs and driving it. He has his own machine/engine business so that won't cost him much of anything other than the square port heads.

I saw a set of matching date coded square port heads on craigs list today. Said for 69/70 wondered if you needed them for the JL8 but I don't remember what size engine it has

The L78 rectangular (sorry, I called them square port) port heads for 1970 were a specific casting # and tough to find the right dates for the engine that was in my car. I have heads for the 302 in the 69. I saw those heads on Craigslist and almost bought them. I think you're referring the factory replacement heads the guy advertised.

Yeah probably, he wanted like 1900 or something for them. Are those the correct heads for the 70? Maybe not the correct date but... just wondering
