starting problem.

lately when i turn the key to start the car sometimes nothing happens. so i turn the key all the way back let go of the clutch and try again. then it starts.sometimes it starts the first time sometimes i have to try a bunch of times.

what going on?any help is is appreciated

Bendix in the starter is going bad, go get a starter

my 85 iroc has the same issue. Ive swapped in a new starter and still does it. Ive thought it was the clutch switch on the pedal or the ignition switch, but i didnt drive it enough to worry about it so i never looked into it.

i barely drove the car, just like 20 times, so i didnt notice how bad it was getting or such, just remember needing to keep turning the key a bunch of times, pushing the clutch in and out, tapping on the starter etc and it just would finally start, no ryhme or reason. i was going to check the wires for the clutch switch
