Ugh, sometimes I just hate SQL!

I just spent 3 hours trying to get a query to run(yesterday afternoon and this morning) only to find out I just needed to add a single word to the original query. But we actually have a bastardized SQL translator someone wrote so I thought it was something wrong with that. Now I can go and screw around with the VB, Access, Paradox, Java, VSS, HTML and everything else I'm supposed to know and support.

That sucks. I hate the fact that SQL Server's LIKE wildcard is a '%' and it's a '*' in MS Access. Hey, Microsoft! They are both your ****ing products, and they both accept SQL syntax. Get on that.

Yeah, the wildcard thing throws off a lot of people.

they purposely make things different on Access...and personally, I think access is a joke. I think all other versions of SQL use the % as a wildcard
