				QUICK ? 3.73 or 4.10

Ok, I know this has been a topic of discussion several times. I have a chance to get a set of 4.10's for a cheap price. I DO have plans to getting a 12 bolt and I'm not sure of what gears I want. So since I still have my stock rear in the car I figured I should try the 4.10's and see how I like them. I had 3.73's in my camaro and I was quite pleased. What do you guys feel I should do? Just keep my 3.42's until I get my 12bolt and get 3.73's or get the 4.10's and give them a try then make my decision from there. BTW I drive this car on the street and highway. Sorry for the question, but I can't seem to make up my mind and there for sale on another forum so I need to make a quick decision if I want them.

Well... What size tires do you plan on running and what do you plan on doing with the car?

I'm running 315/35/17 on the car and I plan to use it as a weekender and race it at the track.

The thing is I don't want to buy the 12 bolt with the 4.10's then not like having them, then have to buy a set of 3.73's and have them installed.

			A. you're only gonna be cruising and driving on the weekends
 B. what's the difference if you have to change them in your 10 bolt or 12 bolt?

since you have a 6 speed, and it's not a DD, I would definitely skip any mods to the 10 bolt and just buy the 4.10s in the 12 bolt.

			6speed 4:10's in the 10 or 12bolt. you won't be disappointed.auto 3:73's

if you plan to use alot of spray or turbo the car, then you might want to stay with 3:73's so you don't have to run a taller tire on the street for dd drivin.

If the gears are cheap and you can get them installed cheap then I say try the 4:10s. What do you really have to loose? if you don't like them then you know to go 3:73s when you order the 12 bolt. What if you wait and after getting the 12bolt/4:10s you don't like them? Allot more money to buy a new gear set.
I've had both 4:10 and 3:73s in my car. I personally like the 3:73s better. ( remember I have a 93, so steeper gears). I run the Nitto DRs and the 4:10 made 1st and 2nd gear completely worthless. The 3:73s weren't as bad until I put the blower motor in. 1st is still worthless, 2nd gear is when the boost comes on! the car would be a total mess with 4:10 gears and my power level.
