quieting down my car
Would a stock muffler, and reducer from 3" to whatever that opening is, be a reasonable temporary solution to quiet my car down?

right now pacesetters, bullet muffler, magnaflow catback. quieting it down... well I'll just say that that car's about ready to be back on the road, but I come home from work between 11 and 12 pm in residential areas where they don't like loud noises. Other reasons too.

cat is currently replaced by a bullet muffler... does it make that much difference soundwise?

What about looking into some type of muffler in the intermediate pipe.
Something like this:
http://www.jegs.com/i/Hooker-Headers...oductId=763913
http://www.jegs.com/p/Moroso/Moroso-...44819/10002/-1
Shouldn't hurt overall performance and still drop some of the noise?

1) Build it
2) Race it
3) Break it
4) Repeat!!!

A bullet muffler really doesn't "muffle" too much. Nothing is in the flow path. On my GP I have a manifolds, high flow cat, bullet, and SLP LM and it's very tolerable.
