Although they are safe to handle with your hands, it is prudent to wash your hands after handling the samples to prevent ingesting radioactive chips or fine particles that may fall of the rocks

what fun is that?

Isotope experiments or experiments involving various physics and chemical properties and laws. I actually work with rocks like these quite often when doing chemical decay or if i need a radioactive source for random magnetic experiments or isotope experiments. I am however a chemistry major with a physics minor in college. What the average person would really want these for I have no clue The higher level ones can be extremely dangerous.
