Heads question

I just picked up a set of 243 LS6 heads here in Florida. They are painted black and was wondering what should I use to take the black paint off of them? I am not sure if paint thinner would damage the aluminum or what not just wonderring what people suggest to use. Thanks.

Aircraft paint stripper usually works pretty well with removing paint from aluminum.
