Bad head gasket?

So my brother bought a 1994 Z28 recently. Its got 67,2xx miles on it. Coolant light came on within the last week, and the temperature seems to rise pretty high for an LT1. Last night while it was running, it looked like smoke was pouring out from the passenger side exhaust manifold, couldn't really pinpoint it. Looked in the radiator a few minutes ago now that the engine is cold (sat overnight) and what was green coolant, now appears to have rust floating in it. Ill see if i can get a pic, for now not even going to chance turning it over, been down that road LOL

Any insight? Are we on the right track?

Thanks!

Sound like it. See if the overflow tank is full?

Could try a compression test too.

How hot did it get? If you overheated it then you could have warped a head?

By hot, not in the red, turned it off before then but def above the 235* where it should off stopped increasing. Ill go check the overflow tank and see whats up. Didn't notice coolant in the oil pan though
