Used my buddys dyno yesterday - heres some cam numbers

Some people were asking me my gains from the TR230 and 243 heads

60hp and 15ft/lbs at the rears from a cam upgrade. I switched from the stock 241 head to a brand new set of Z06 243 heads when I did the cam.

The car had a different mail order tune for both before cam and after cam. I believ both dyno charts to be "corrected"

2002 Z28 6-Speed with approx 33,000miles in 2008
Kooks 1-3/4" Catted Y-pipe, B&B triflow cat back
SLP MAF
SLP LID
180 Thermostat
Mail order tune
Everything else stock

2002 Z28 6-Speed with approx 41,000 miles on 2010
Kooks 1-3/4" Catted Y-pipe, B&B triflow cat back
SLP MAF
SLP LID
180 Thermostat
Mail order tune
TR230 CAM
243 Z06 Heads

Something's screwy w/ the graph...the HP line is above the 400 mark nearly the whole way across the test range, but your numeric "Max Power" shows <400hp?

that seems pretty good, any reason why you guys took it to 6500rpm seems kind of high.

I saw the first graph and was thinknig that is kind of low for a cam, but i failed at reading. lol

You're reading it wrong. The top lines are torque and the torque numbers are on the right side of the graph.

Edit: My question is, why doesn't the horsepower and torque cross at 5250 in the second graph?

Lots more area under that curve now, lookin good.
Prob could pull a bit more with some fine tuning.

The TQ scaling is off. If the scaling on the that graph was equal for both HP & TQ, they'ed both cross at 5252.

To me it looks like all the power was gained after 5000 rpms. Would a Steaper Gear ratio help with get to his power band faster? Say like a 4.10? Lookes like from 3k-5k its pretty much spot on with his bolt on dyno for the HP. Me personally I dont care about Peak hp. I want to see gains thoughout the power band. What was the A/F during the run?
