Non-Resident Violator Compact / Driver's License Compact
Anyone know how this works in NJ when dealing with an out of state speeding ticket from Michigan? I've read some mixed things about it...

Keep in mind that while NJ DMV will only see 2 pts for out of state violations, your insurance sees all of them.
Example scenario
5pt ticket in say PA
NJ DMV tags on 2 pts, no biggie
NJ insurance tags on 5 pts and effs you hard.

You're lucky they didn't arrest you on the spot.

I plan on paying the ticket Just wondering if Nj will find out about it if i pay it, i thought I read that since michigan isn't in compact with nj then they don't report stuff like that. If they do it could be bad news for me... and i will be going back to michigan often

Dont get too far behind on the tickets though, if you try to enter any base, or even if you get tagged for extra screening at an airport(not 100% on this one) your NCIC will pop and you may get arrested
