OBD1 software shenanigans

So I been thinking about getting this OBD1-USB plug and that scan software for my 94 TA. I've never seen how it works before. I figured Id ask the LT1 masters for their opinion. So-if buy this stuff and plug it in, what will I see and be able to do. Will I be able to monitor when my IAC, MAF,MAP, TPS sensors operate. Basically, when my car warms up it has a little miss or something. I want to be able to plug in the laptop and check whats going on. Thanks

Datamaster is a free software for the first 20 scans. Here's an example of the output:

Comes with a cd that gives you a bunch of links to software you can download and use with it, including datamaster and freescan.
