I'm considering it and just have a few questions regarding the specifics of the drill weekends, annual training, and deployments.

I finished up my Army contract in a Nat'l Guard unit and it's pretty manageable, also spent my college years in a Reserve unit and it's about the same. Weekend drills are hectic, especially if the unit is in ARTEP prep.

Deployments...different story especially if you have a family. I was single back then but saw the married/kids guys jumping through hoops w/ DEERS paperwork and whatnot. Not as much family support in the reserve vs. active duty and living on-post.
