Just thought I'd say hi...

Like the title says, I just wanted to pop in and say hello. Hope everyone is dealing with the winter weather well. I wouldn't know anything about that, I'm in Okinawa.

Okinawa? My cousin is over there too. he's a huge f-body nut, but doesn't own one yet. hes in the USMC also and is stationed on base there for another two years. Its pretty likely you have bumped into him. LCpl Soccodato. a wireman. i just spoke with him on the phone the other day. definitely a cool guy. typical jarhead marine mentality. when he comes home to NJ he's looking to buy a 3rd gen almost immediately.

There are a few different bases here, do you know which one he's on? Even if he were on the same base as me, I might never see him. I'm not permanent personnel and I'm in the infantry. Infantry guys usually only know other infantry guys.

Am I to read that as you know infantry guys that I also know, or are you simply stating that you know some infantry guys in a matter-of-fact way?

I was just busting your chops about this snippet. I wish I got to travel more in the Marines, I don't really count Afg, and my Alaskan trip was cut short due to sequestration.

Yeah, traveling in the Marine Corps, at least if your on the 03 side of things, means getting to see the worst that a state or country has to offer.

That being said, my first deployment was my favorite because I actually got to do my job.

I'm back in the states now. I'm not going for the VERRP Alex, I'm just going to ride it out.

Yeah, I heard you guys got a real winter for once. Shame I missed it. I'll be a free man for the next one though.
