Plane Crash on 46

I heard a CL-600 crashed on Rt46...first thing I though was "Boon and James finaly did it."

Hope none of your northern boys and girls were around there when it hit.

so far, no deaths. 11 hurt, 2 missing. Seems as if it was trying to take off, but couldnt for whatever reason, and slid across 46 and into a warehouse.

My sister-in-law was on her way to classes when it happened. She saw the whole thing. If she left two minutes earlier, that plane coulda taken the roof off her car! I hope none of the injuries are life-threatening.

Traffic and all is a nightmare from what she told me. Glad I don't have to go home that way.

the live news conference right now(about 12 noon) the Gov. just stated no fatalities at this time.

Whenever i drove by there, i always thought about a plane coming right onto the highway. steve, im glad your sis-in-law is ok. i woke up this morning and heard about a plane crash on the TV in the other room and i was shocked it was so close. i assume now they will build some type of wall/impact barrier now at the end of the runway, considering the only thign there was an iron and chain link fence.

The hospital held a news conference and said that all of the injured there had no 'life-threatening' injuries...

NBC news said that the people reported missing were located and there were no fatalities...

Thank goodness, it happened during morning rush hour...

Its going to be a bitch to go to work tonight. All the major roads go near or cross rt. 46 in that section so I garuntee that stretch of 46 is totally shut down.

Thanks for the kind words Paul! And I agree, riding past there sometimes scares the crap outta me! Planes fly in so damn low there to land it's incredible.

Yep, and according to Channel 7 news at 6PM, it might be closed for several days while the Feds finish their investigation and they remove the plane wreckage from the building.
