Taxes in Jersey going up

If you thought it was bad here already get ready to feel the hurt just that much more...over the past week or so Cody is talking about doing all kinda stuff to close the deficite...first it was possibly renting out the turnpike for 10 billion for 100 years now its taxes...everything from pretaxing your 401k, taking back property tax cuts, raising sales tax, raising gas tax or a combination of all of them. Just throwing that out there for discussion

I read they want to change the tax law to tax ALL internet purchases. It's hard to track at the moment, but 14 states (I think that was the number) are currently looking into ways to track the internet purchases to make sure you are taxed on everything that is taxable (I would assume that food and clothes would still be left untaxed as they are currently). They could make $600million a yr from this alone.

What, the $6K I spend in property taxes isn't good enough anymore??? My house is on a 50'x100' lot, and it's a 60-year old colonial; 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms. They make me ill. They should charge a pollution tax to all those factories and refineries off the Turnpike. That would make some nice $$ for those greedy ba$tards.

another thing i left out is they are possibly going to do the encheatment thing to savings bonds as well...you know the things your grandparents got for you and you parents probably put in a safe deposit box for you...once they mature after like 15-20 years the govt is now possibly going to take those and make the same hassles they did for dormant accounts so it'll take 2-3 months to get your money back from them for bonds if you didnt cash them in...now keep in mind you pay taxes on the interest on those bonds earned so its a win win situation for the state...if you dont cash them in its money they can play with till you do and if you do cash them in because you dont want them to touch your $ you have to pay taxes on the interest lol. Gotta love those democrats

It's all the state and county employees that get 50 holidays and 100 vacation days a year. They're eating up all our tax money. Somebody put them to work!
