I think my 92 Olds Supreme is dead but I have a question...

My daily is a 92 Olds Sumpreme with 158K miles on her. I was hoping it would hold out until next spring (or this fall at least) before I had to put the money out to buy a pickup. I was wondering if anyone had any ideas of what might be wrong with it....when I'm driving it'll just shut down, whether the car is warm or cold, doesn't matter. Every once an a while it'll give me a warning by shutting down and starting back up again before completely stalling out. Once it stalls it usually starts up after 2 or 3 tries but today it wouldn't turn over at all. My dad thinks it may be electrical but honestly I have no clue. Just trying to figure out if it's worth fixing or may end up just being dead.

I know it's not an F-Body but you guys seem to know so much about cars in general I was hoping maybe someone had some ideas what it could be.

Thanks

- Ant

step 1. pick up road flare
step 2. ignite flare using supplied striker cap
step 3. gently place road flare underneath seat
step 4. shut door
step 5. run like hell
step 6. record it on video so we can see
