the Ferrari Enzo does it in 11.3 seconds, i believe. There's quite a few motorcycles that can't match that time. 10.8 seconds is ridiculous.

That's fast but it was too quiet. I'm impressed but also disapointed that they choose to go carb. EFI is SO cheap now and they wouldn't have that burning rear body panels on decel problem :P .
Tim, doesn't your Tazzo do a 0-100-0?
I can test my car (and any other TBI car) with 6 hundreths of a second resolution. TPI and LT1 up to 95 with 1 tenth of a second resolution. The OBD-II guys (and gals) will need to talk to Bill and Craig. The hardest part is going to find a nice SAFE place to do these tests. A local private airfield taxi way would be optimal.

considering the kinds of cars that would even bother to apply to such a contest, do you guys think a drag strip would be an acceptable venue?
i thinkn e-town would work great, they have a super long and smooth shut down area. even if there was a problem i am sure there would be enough space to get out of trouble.
i am gonna look into this a little bit more and see if we cna come up with something. i think it would be a great midsummer deal if it can work out.

LS6 twin turbo was the silver ultima GTr at island. It had slicks on all 4 that were 335's. He tech'd infront of me the day i saw you guys there last season (was like the last sunday track day..when etown had its street wars thing) I remember smelling coolant during tech and thinking it was my car since i just changed the water pump. Turns out it was him and when he was staging i was pulling into the burnout box behind him and on his launch he blew a hose off or something. This caused the guy with the limp to grab his mop and clean the track for what felt like eternity before my run. He definitly ran in the 11s tho. I talked to him afterwards and he said he owns 13 other cars only one i remember him saying was a elise. the older one..he said he goes to pocono and watkins glen and mainly does road racing.

My friend used to own a can-am replica kit car called the Manta Mirage. His was an 80's build with mediocre equipment but wow was it fun. I'd get one and make it into a daily driver just because they're SO cool.
http://www.davewolin.com/otman.htm
My friend got his for like $7000 and put about $500 into it, not a year goes by and he sold it for $15,000. He does this often and has gotten increasingly good at it. He now owns a Ferrari 308 the lucky bastard.

I don't know what the ratios of the tranny are (Porsche G50 if anyone wants to look it up), but they are shifting it at around 7500....

there are replacements from 1.5-2.3 for 2nd gear so coupled with say a 2.0/2.73 combination he'd hit 102 at 7500 rpms with a 25in tall tire.
