its not who makes the best subs, its whose subs work best in your airspace.....

i have a jl, and i love it, my friends have alpines and love them.

not much experience with other brands

GI Auto Salvage in Pine Brook has several Firebirds and Camaros with perfectly good hatches and struts. There's even an 88-89 Iroc there with decent sheet metal all around and a primered hood. Went there last Thursday and was amazed at all the almost-new rear hatch struts there.

As for measuring the hatch, yeah... grab a tape measure and do it yourself. Just swapped out an aero wing spoiler on Sunday and glad I did the struts first. Damn thing is heavy!

Wanted this - , but ended up with this - for free. Can't argue with free.
