on to the next car....a '91 Nissan Sentra SE-R. 81K miles, 5-spd, $3300. I can talk that down a few hundred dollars. 81K miles is great, especially for the year of the car. my '98 Camaro has 88K on the clock

Specs:

140 HP @ 6400 RPM
132 ft.-lbs. @ 4800 RPM
Weight: 2414 lbs.

0-60 : 7.6 seconds
1/4 mile : 15.8 seconds

9.8" vented front rotors
9.1" solid rear rotors

this will be a fun autocross/road race car with some work done to it. good thing parts are cheap I'm going to see it on friday.

i got a taste of the car today...Lincoln Tech has a '92 SE-R as a "project" car. The engine performance class usually works on it. It doesn't have a VIN, strangely enough, so it could never be registered. It has 305 miles on it Nice car, a little beat up because no one takes care of it. The seats are great, I was surprised how supportive they were. The shifter is too long, like rowing a rowboat. A short-shifter will fix that problem. it's a very sporty car, I can't wait to get mine and take it out for a drive.

I gotta find the story on the net i saw a LOOOONG time ago with an early 90's sentra that went under the rear tandums of a Mack truck, it was nasty. If the woman driving it was a little taller than 4'11" she woulda died.

<<<<<<<Going to look at a 2000 Bonneville SSEi 87K miles for $7200 in PA

ehhhh Jeeps and trucks always have long throws. I'm talking as far as cars go, the Sentra has long throws. It's about the same as my old Celica, maybe even longer. The shifter is nice and smooth, but i'd much rather have a short shifter for quicker shifts.

you know what cars have amazingly short shifts? PT Cruisers. I've driven a bunch of them that were manual and the shifter throw is nice and short.
