R.I.P. Patrick Swayze
he has lost his battle with cancer.
"Patrick Swayze passed away peacefully today with family at his side after facing the challenges of his illness for the last 20 months," said a statement released Monday evening by his publicist, Annett Wolf. Swayze died in Los Angeles, Wolf said, but declined to give further details.

RIP, he will be missed. He was a helluva fighter against that disease too - outlived his original prognosis by over a year, I think. Cancer has to be one of the most painful ways to die. My wife is a hospice nurse and has seen a lot of families destroyed by some form of it.
Godspeed Mr. Swayze.

aw, crap. that means they will be using some other actor to finish the beast? it's a tv show on a&e, i believe. it was his latest project and he was doing a helluva job in it, too. maybe they had the second season in the can before he got the big C.
he's a beloved actor who died too young. he will most certainly live on in his work, though. nice little legacy there.
