Timing cover gaskets. Possibly valve cover gaskets. And a tube of RTV. How many miles are on your timing chain? Now may be a good time to replace it.

Not sure about the timing chain, Im assuming that when the old owner rebuilt the 305 he replaced it but Ill have to double check.

Random question and unrelated but any idea how much a shop would charge to weld on a 3 inch exhaust from the header back. I already have a muffler I want to use.

I usually use felpros

Valve cover gaskets
intake gasket & rtv
distributor (the overlooked gasket, lol)
carb to intake gasket
carb to air cleaner gasket (not sure what you have now)
water pump gaskets
t/c cover and seal (remember to lube the seal & balancer collar before you put it back on)
technically oil pan gasket, depends on experience I guess and condition of pan gasket. you might need to grind the tabs off the t/c cover. I've only done a couple so I'm not a pro at that, lol

good time to do hoses and clamps.

Valve springs and valve stem seals perhaps?

Not sure if they were replaced or how aggressive a cam you are getting, but they would be on my list of things to replace as well.
