Zexel posi FS

i have a Zexel posi out of a 2000 fbody. works great, nice beefy unit. im selling because it wont work with the Ring and pinion i have!
asking 100 you pick up. i work at island too so if ya come up for a day of racin or somethin i can bring that with me!

i have a 7.5" ring gear, and the unit is ment for a 7.625 ring gear(4th gen rears have this) i asked jon what you did and he said you finished your rear or ida called ya and given you first licks at it.

wait a sec...my posi unit said it was for the 7.625 and my ring gear was for the 7.5...

i dunno what whatever you guys are talking about i dont know rears but i have a 3.73 rear with a new ring and pinion so i have no idea so nevermind lol

I was under the impression that the 7.5/7.625 were interchangeable.....

they are...if you get a new ring/pinion and carrier. but a 7.625 carrier and a 7.5 ring gear wont work.

thats the same as the slp take out diffs that sold for $75 back in the day right? Is it that you need a 2 series for your rear? I still dont understand why the torsen wont fit I too always thought they were interchangable.

They sold for $99 - and it was a steal just like all of SLPs other take off parts. Now they pop up on ebay with a bit more use on them, and they regularly go for $120-150.

I had bought one for $75...they had a clearance on them for a while if i remember correctly at one point proably in 01'-02 they also have the good torsens which are like $299 or 399 cant remember
