Sank my nephew's battleship...
I went up to Conn. today for Easter dinner with my brother and sister in law and one of my nephews. When we pulled up I noticed a Miata in their driveway, and my nephew came out of the house. He then said "Look, uncle unstable bob, you inspired me!" I said "Wat 'chu talkin' 'bout?" He said "You inspired me to buy the Miata!" I gritted my teeth and said "No way did I inspire you! If I inspired you there would be an AMERICAN MUSCLE CAR parked here, not this chick car POS Miata!" My nephew then got a puss on his face, and slunked back into the house. Geez, it is hard to bring kids up right now-a-days!

nothin wrong with a miata...get him to turbo it and throw some suspension work into it and itll be a sweet autoX car

There are MANY things wrong w/ a Miata. For example:
1. It is an import
2. It is a chick car
3. It is underpowered
4. It is Japanese
5. It is not American
etc, etc, etc.

There was a co. around years back that put 302 Phords in 'em. Called 'em Monster Miatas. I raced one once in my 94 TA. Smoked 'em like a woolie!

I had a guy in a miata try racing me from a stop light back in the day when I ran low 12s. It was not pretty for him. LOL .

and as far as getting smoked by a miata i shouldnt be saying this but my little brothers stockish miata is faster then that thing i call a camaro

I gotta say, we had a guy on the race team who bought a $900 miata, put a new clutch in it, about 2k in suspension, new wheels and tires, and that thing handled like it was on rails. Could def use a few more horsepwoer, but u got thing into the twisties and it was some fun
